Anti-Spam Policy
This policy explains how we send commercial electronic messages, and how you stop receiving them. It forms part of our Terms of Service and sits alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. The law we follow. We send commercial electronic messages in accordance with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. Where a recipient is outside Australia, we also follow the equivalent rules that apply to them, including the CAN-SPAM Act in the United States and the GDPR and ePrivacy rules in the European Union and the United Kingdom.
2. Consent. We only send commercial messages where we have consent. Consent is express when you give it to us directly, for example by asking for a demo, filling in a form, or buying a plan. Consent is inferred where you have a publicly listed business address published in connection with your role, the message relates directly to that role, and the listing does not say that unsolicited messages are not wanted. We do not buy, rent, or harvest lists of email addresses.
3. Who the message is from. Every message we send identifies Vantag, operated by Guernik and Partners Pty Ltd (ABN 44 692 416 783), and includes a way to contact a person. We do not disguise the sender, use misleading subject lines, or use a reply address that is not monitored.
4. How to stop receiving messages. Every commercial message includes an unsubscribe link that works without you needing an account, a password, or a reason. You can also reply to any message with the word unsubscribe, or write to support@vantag.co. We act on a request within five working days, and in practice much sooner. Once you unsubscribe we keep only the minimum record needed to make sure we do not contact you again.
5. Messages that are not commercial. Some messages are part of the service you have bought and are not marketing. These include receipts, payment and renewal notices, security and account alerts, replies to something you asked us, and messages needed to build or run your website. They do not carry an unsubscribe link, because stopping them would stop the service. If you want these to stop, you close your account.
6. Messages sent from your own website. Your Vantag website sends messages to the buyers who leave their details on it. You are the sender of those messages and you are responsible for them. You must only invite buyers who have agreed to hear from you, and you must honour any request from a buyer to stop. We give you the tools to do that, but the obligation is yours, and clause 5 of our Terms of Service says the same.
7. Reporting a problem. If you believe you received a message from us that you did not consent to, or an unsubscribe link did not work, write to support@vantag.co with a copy of the message. We investigate every report, tell you what we found, and fix the cause. You may also complain to the Australian Communications and Media Authority, and nothing in this policy prevents you from doing so.
8. Changes to this policy. If we change how we send commercial messages, we update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes are announced to account holders before they take effect.
